“Originally based around the lives of a group of high school students living in the wealthy Beverly Hills neighborhood, then later moving on to their college days as they got older. The kids become friends and enemies, fall in and out of love, and go through an endless series of crises as this small group somehow becomes personally involved in every newsworthy social issue from alcoholism to South African apartheid to pregnancy to AIDS.”
The show stars Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green…and at times, Shannon Doherty, Luke Perry, Jason Priestley, Gabrielle Carteris, Tiffani Theissen, Lindsay Price, Daniel Cosgrove, Kathleen Robertson, Vincent Young, and Vanessa Marcil.
Basically, I decided to blog about the show because I watched it growing up and, as I’ve started collecting it on DVD recently, I’ve realized how much of a statement of the 1990’s it is. Also, it’s quite cheesy and soap opera-like, so I felt I could provide some cheeky commentary and amuse myself (and possibly others). Hope you enjoy!
