I’m Candace, a 22 year-old young woman from Florida. I’m a full-time college student, majoring in Psychology. I’m engaged to be married next year and I live with my fiancé. We own three Chihuahuas together, all named after Grey’s Anatomy characters (Izzie, Addison, and Bailey). I love music, dance, astronomy, reading, baking, philosophy, and shopping. I aspire to become a college professor one day, but I also hope to find the time to write a book over the years. I tend to relish the past (come on, I’m blogging about a show I watched growing up) and worry too much about the future. I have an obsession with shoes, purses, and perfume. Basically, all very unecessary and expensive things. I love animals so much that I have to be careful when I go to pet stores that sell animals. Despite the fact that I don’t think pet stores are right and that all of them that sell animals should go out of business, it doesn’t stop me from wanting to buy all the animals and take them home with me. I have been known to cry when I see that many puppies in cages. I’ve been singing since I was 4 years old and my parents called me “Little Diva”. I still sing today, but fortunately, nobody calls me that anymore (or anything worse, like “Big Diva”). I struggled with an eating disorder in my teens and am a strong advocator for positive body image in teenage girls. If I could, I’d open a center and spend all my time helping girls learn to love themselves. In my free time, I sing, shop, read, write, surf the Internet, and blog!
